The investment was made by a platform managed by HREV principals and JV partner JMH Development. 184 Kent is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contains 338 residential units and 17,850 square feet of commercial space. Located on the East River waterfront, 184 Kent Avenue is a Cass Gilbert-designed building constructed in 1915. In its earliest incarnation as a waterfront warehouse, the building housed Austin, Nichols, and Company, the largest grocer in the city. The building’s amenities package includes a rooftop deck, a 24-hour doorman and concierge, a resident lounge, and a riverfront fitness center. 184 Kent was fully leased within 9 months of completion at rents 10-15% above pro-forma.
