When feasible, adaptive reuse projects reduce the carbon footprint produced by development by revitalizing and repurposing a portion of an existing structure or reusing existing infrastructure while maintaining the neighborhood’s character. Extending the function and lifetime of materials in the existing structure reduces emissions along the supply chain.

Think Zero LLC is a valued sustainability partner. The firm specializes in waste reduction, diversion consulting, and zero-waste advisory work. Their partnership has helped two Halpern properties, 565 Broome SoHo and The Mason, set up low or zero-waste programs running today and have made these properties leaders in sustainability in the residential space.
